Brief Introduction of Bank of China (Europe) S.A. Lisbon Branch

Bank of China (Europe) S.A. Lisbon Branch began its business in April 22, 2013, officially opening its doors on July 1st of the same year. This is the only branch established by the Bank of China in the Iberian Peninsula, as well as the first Chinese-funded commercial bank registered in Portugal.

Since 2013, Bank of China (Europe) S.A. Lisbon Branch has provided credit support to our clients, including project finance, trade finance and so on. As a member of the BOC Group, the Lisbon Branch has supported several Chinese "Go Abroad" entities for their projects in Portugal, as well as Portuguese local companies, making joint efforts in order to expand its cooperation with local financial institutions, and provide comprehensive financial services to the Portuguese market.

Lisbon branch also began to expand its horizons, through the Bank of China Overseas branches, linking local Portuguese customers and financial institutions to Spain, Brazil, Mozambique, Angola, Macao, as well as other Portuguese-speaking countries and regions. Under the background of Belt and Road Initiative and RMB internationalization, in the new development stage, we will foster a new development paradigm with new development philosophy and seek high-quality development.

The Lisbon branch also provides many services to our individual clients, including account openings, deposits and remittances.
