Refundable Hospital Income Protection Plan

Description

Refundable Hospital Income Protection Plan services for personal customers are provided by Bank of China (Macau) Limited. This is a hospital income policy under which the insured will be paid a daily income while in hospital for accidental injuries or illnesses. Furthermore, according to the special premium refund feature of the policy, if the insured cancels the policy before the expiry date, premium paid will be refunded on a pro rata basis as from the date of insurance.

Features

1. This is a hospital income insurance policy with a guaranteed insurance period of 10 years.

2. Choice of daily hospital income benefits, i.e. MOP/HKD400, MOP/HKD600 or MOP/HKD800.

3. The insured will be paid a daily income while in hospital for accidental injuries or illnesses consecutively for 24 hours (one day), up to 1,000 days per disability or illness.  (For hospital confinement outside Macao, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia,Thailand, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, daily hospital income will only be 50% of the policy schedule).

4. Double cash benefit for intensive care, up to a maximum of 90 days.

5. Premium rebate benefits available (Premium rebate will only be paid without interest upon expiry of the policy). Premium paid will be refunded on a pro rata basis as from the date of insurance if the insured cancels the policy before the expiry date.

6. Regardless of the cause of death, whether accident or natural, death benefit calculated by adding MOP/HKD1,000 ex gratia compensation to total premium paid will be paid to the beneficiary.
