Celebrating its 110th anniversary in 2022, Bank of China (hereinafter referred to as "BOC"), as the most globalised & integrated of the Chinese Banks, has grown into a large multinational banking group with established institutions across China and in 62 countries & regions all over the world. It has developed a comprehensive global service network which spans corporate banking, personal banking, financial markets, investment banking, direct investment, securities, insurance, funds, and aircraft leasing.
As the presence of Bank of China in Ireland, Bank of China (Europe) S.A. Dublin Branch (hereinafter referred to as "BOC Dublin") was incorporated in September 2021, being the first Chinese banking institution officially approved to operate in Ireland. The opening of the Dublin Branch represents a significant strategic step by BOC to proactively market BOC’s Corporate Banking offering into the Irish market. As a newly established branch in the Irish market, BOC Dublin will look to benefit from BOC’s existing capabilities & expertise, centralized operations, market reputation and experience in the European market, whilst seeking to expand BOC’s business and promote the strength of its product & service offering.
BOC Dublin is dedicated to providing high quality financial services for Chinese companies, local Irish companies, multinationals, and Irish companies with economic & trade relations with China. It will fully support Irish companies to scale within the Chinese market, actively serve Chinese companies to invest in Ireland, and leverage the BOC Global Network to build a bridge for cross-border business between Ireland & China.
