To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Bank of China Macau Branch (the Branch), the Macau Post recently issued a set of theme stamps, including four stamps and a miniature sheet. Macau Branch has become the first bank in Macau to issue such stamps into circulation.
Designed by the local senior designer Wu Wenyan, this set of commemorative stamps uniquely incorporates Bank of China logo, lotus and the world heritage sites in Macau, complemented by such patterns as Chinese knots, ribbons and the number "60", with an implied meaning that the Branch has always been providing high-quality banking services to the society since its foundation 60 years ago in line with the concept of "Rooted in Macau to Serve It", and dedicate to building a prosperous Macau with the Macau SAR government.
As the largest bank and financial institution in Macau, the Branch has positively fulfilled its social responsibilities and vigorously promoted the cultural and educational programs in Macau over the years. This year also witnessed the establishment of a volunteer team by the Branch, where the staff are encouraged to engage in social activities to broaden their outlook and reward the society.
