To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and express the wishes of overseas staff to the motherland, a chorus, made up of staff from Bank of China Johannesburg Branch ("Bank of China Joburg Branch") and the Chinese Consulate-General in Johannesburg, took part in the first chorus competition of Chinese in South Africa for China's 60th anniversary celebration held by the overseas Chinese community. With soulful singing, the chorus moved every jury and audience, and won the champion in the final by triumphing over other seven teams.
Overcoming various difficulties and sacrificing their spare time, all staff of Bank of China Joburg Branch actively participates in the rehearsal of the chorus. In the competition, the orderly arranged team and soulful singing exhibited Bank of China staff's graceful bearing, as well as expressed their blessing to the motherland.
