Since August 8, the first "National Fitness Day", Bank of China branches in all provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions with their 200,000 staff have been active to support the National Fitness Campaign by taking part in and promoting local fitness activities.
Shenzhen
"The Inaugural Ceremony of Shenzhen National Fitness Day 2009" was held in Shenzhen Stadium on August 8. Hundreds of parade members of Bank of China Shenzhen Branch wearing T-shirts marked "National Fitness-Together with Me" were the most eye-catching scenery. On August 9, about 200 staff of Shenzhen Branch took part in the Shenzhen 18th Long-distance Race & the National Fitness Day at the F1 motorboat competition field in Nanshan Houhai. Six of them came into the top 50 among the 1,200 competitors. For active participation and successful organization of the National Fitness Day activities, Bank of China's Shenzhen Branch won the "Excellent Organizer" award issued by the organizing committee.
Hunan
"On August 8, The "First National Fitness Day of Hunan Province" and "Vigorous Changsha Carnival" activity was held at He Long Sports Center in Changsha. On the spot, 5,000 sports fans wearing T-shirts marked "Come for Bank of China Vigorous Changsha Carnival", performed various mass sports such as Tai Chi, soft dint ball, square dance and drums. The active participation in and support for the campaign won Bank of China Hunan Branch the title of "Best Supporter for the First National Fitness Day".
Guangxi
On August 8, a 100-member parade of Bank of China Guangxi Branch took part in the opening ceremony of Guangxi Sports Festival 2009 and Nanning Mass Walking activity. In the Mass Walking team, staff of Guangxi Branch dressed in white sportswear marked "Bank of China National Fitness Carnival 2009" marched on with high spirit. A 150-member cheering squad of Bank of China was on the road side whooping "National Fitness - Together with Me", the enthusiasm influencing quite a few passers-by.
Zhejiang
On the morning of August 8, the National Fitness Day activity of Zhejiang Province and Hangzhou City started in the stadium of Hangzhou Dragon Sports Center. At the very beginning, the sound of the theme song "Song for National Fitness" written especially for this activity rose in the stadium. "Everyone is exercising, Qiantang Tide is roaring; relax your body, keep your happiness...", the dynamic and vivacious song lifted the activity to a climax.
On the opening ceremony, one after another enjoyable sports with Zhejiang local features were performed such as performances of Hangzhou Cycling Team and Hangzhou Skidding Team, children basketball of Ningbo, Jingning She Nationality folk sports, juvenile Diabolo of Shaoxing, skip show of the students from the school of deaf-mutes of Dongyang, and so on.
As a sponsor, Bank of China Zhejiang Branch took part in and supported the activity throughout the process. On the spot, 5,500 spectators dressed in T-shirts with the Bank of China logo and holding fans with the same logo formed five squads in red, yellow, green, black and blue, reminding people of the exciting scenes of the Beijing Olympic Games when watching the tremendous site performances.
Besides, Bank of China local branches in Jiangsu, Shandong, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Liaoning, Heilongjiang, Qinghai, Tibet, Guangxi, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia and so on all launched various national fitness themed activities in cooperation with the local sports authorities. As the main supporters and participants of the National Fitness Day activities, they have made significant contribution to the popularity the campaign and the development of mass sports.
