Li Lihui and Zhang Lin Instruct Post-Disaster Reconstruction in Sichuan

Led by President Li Lihui and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission Zhang Lin, a delegation of Bank of China's department leaders go to Sichuan branch to instruct post-disaster production recovery and reconstruction on May 25-26, 2010.

Upon arrival in Chengdu at the noon time of May 25, the delegation headed by Li and Zhang headed for Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital to see the three injured employees of Dujiangyan Sub-Branch. In the afternoon, the delegation visit the business department of Sichuan Branch to see the employees on duty. And a meeting is held to emphasize stronger support to the disaster-stricken area for early production recovery and reconstruction.

On May 26, Li Lihui and Zhang Lin, together with Wang Ji, Chairman of Dongfang Electric Corporation and Si Zefu, General Manager of the corporation, attend the signing ceremony of the post-quake reconstruction financial cooperation agreement between the two sides. Bank of China decides to use its worldwide network and services to provide Dongfang Corporation with a credit line of RMB 30 billion for loans, L/C, trade finance, L/G and other forms of financing and credit support to help the latter with post-disaster production recovery and reconstruction.

Then, President Li Lihui and Secretary Zhang Lin go to Bank of China's sub-branches in Dujiangyan and Mianzhu to see the injured employees and the operation at the temporary outlets. On the site of the ruins, they pay silent tribute to the employees who died in the quake.
