About Bank of China Limited Geneva Branch
2022-07-19
Established in 1912, Bank of China is the most globalized and integrated Chinese bank. Bank of China Geneva branch was officially opened on October 12th, 2021, which is the first Chinese bank in Geneva.
Bank of China Geneva Branch is located at Tour de l'Ile 1, in the heart of Geneva. The building contains a tower of a castle which was completed by Bishop Aymé de Grandson in 1219. As the only remaining part of the castle, the tower has endured more than 800 years of ups and downs, witnessing the glorious history of this international city. The reason the building was selected by the branch is that the historical and cultural status of it meets the characteristic of over 100 years’ history of Bank of China.
Bank of China Geneva Branch is aiming to meet the needs and services of Chinese going out enterprises in Switzerland and Swiss enterprises and financial institutions. The branch actively carries out deposits, loans, remittances, international settlement, trade financing and other businesses, providing strong financial support for Sino-Swiss economic and trade exchanges.
Bank of China Geneva branch is also focusing on the needs of commodity-related corporates (producers, merchants, transporters and processors). In line with the “Belt and Road“ Initiative of China government, the branch will play a significant role in providing finance and other financial services for companies and projects related to this initiative.
