The Bank of China (Canada) SplendorPlus Debit Card supports three payment networks: Interac, THE EXCHANGE, and UnionPay, allowing seamless payments both in Canada and globally. This card supports POS transactions, online purchases, ATM cash withdrawals, and QR code payments. Additionally, it comes with a wide range of China-specific benefits, such as cashback on RMB purchases, complimentary airport lounge access, and special merchant discounts, covering major travel destinations in mainland China.

Product Features

1.Triple-Network Support for Global Accessibility

The card is compatible with Interac, THE EXCHANGE, and UnionPay networks. In Canada, it supports Interac ATM cash withdrawals and POS transactions. It also offers surcharge free deposits, withdrawals, balance inquiries, and PIN changes at thousands of THE EXCHANGE network ATMs across Canada. Outside Canada, it supports UnionPay ATM cash withdrawals, online and in-store purchases worldwide.

2.Dual-Currency Account with Flexible Conversion

The card can be linked to both CAD and RMB accounts, with no extra foreign exchange conversion fees. When withdrawing cash or making purchases in China, the transaction will be directly deducted from the RMB account. When the RMB account is unavailable or has insufficient funds, the amount will be automatically converted from the CAD account at UnionPay’s real-time exchange rate.

3.Real-Time SMS Alerts for Secure Transactions

Eligibility

• Individuals who have opened a CAD account at a Bank of China (Canada) branch are eligible to apply for the SplendorPlus Debit Card.
• Customers who meet the Bank of China (Canada) VIP criteria can apply for the SplendorPlus VIP Debit Card.

Application Procedure

Customers can visit any Bank of China (Canada) branch with a valid ID to open a CAD account and sign the Bank of China (Canada) Debit Card Application Form.
